Low cost - high quality
About us - why we do what we do
Every child can gain a huge amount from learning music - whether it remains a hobby or develops into a career, music has the power to fundamentally change lives.
Learning an instrument is scientifically proven to help with cognitive development and dexterity, and improves attainment in many other subjects.
Playing together is a rewarding way to build communication and social skills, so we encourage every pupil to get involved with ensembles. We know how much performing helps with confidence, so we strive to get these groups to the stage.
Every child has the opportunity to learn an instrument.
Every child is born creative, curious and capable of learning a musical instrument.
We believe every child has the right to express their creativity, what ever their financial background. As a social enterprise, we are committed to keeping costs as low as possible to make sure this can happen.
Good for the brain - and much more
Universities host some of the finest young musicians in the UK, and we hand-pick the best teachers out of these. We look for clear communicators, excitable engagers; adept and adaptable, compassionate and creative.
Our teachers never stop learning: we train them to develop their own teaching style, and support them throughout their career with us. All of them have up-to-date DBS checks, a solid knowledge of music theory, and Grade 8 on their primary insturment.
